Witnesses for Life| Newly Revised

• This exhibit was created to honor the 30th anniversary of The March of the Living, founded in 1988, a truly life-changing experience that commences with educational sessions in Miami and culminates with a week in Poland and another week in Israel. • Since 1988, approximately 260,000 Jewish teens and adults from 52 countries have become “Witnesses for Life” as they gathered in Poland and Israel for an educational experience that changed their lives forever. • The artist/photographer, Silvio Frydman, notes: “This exhibit is intended for you, the viewer, to enter into this transformative journey, to challenge and mobilize your senses and emotions, so you can experience just a small sense of what Marchers experience. Contrasting images are displayed next to each other to represent the way our mind and heart works. The intent is to provoke and to mirror the visual tension that is an intrinsic part of our daily lives.” • We hope this exhibit will motivate and inspire you to join one of the future March of the Living experiences, either with the teens or with the Friends of the March of the Living adult marches.

To support the March of the Living for our teens or to participate on a March journey as an adult, contact the Friends of the March of the Living: [email protected] (305)338-6697

Kristallnacht commemoration at Temple Sinai of North Dade on Nov 9, 2018 6.15pm

Temple Sinai is putting together a unique service commemorating the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht and honoring the German Musical Tradition.

Instead of the traditional Friday night music, the congregation will become transformed by the 19th Century German music that was enjoyed by Jews in Western Europe and particularly in Germany prior to the Holocaust.

The service will be enhanced by the presence of a special guest speaker, holocaust survivor Julius Eisenstein, along with other survivors who will join us for service and dinner.

The service will take place on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 6:15 p.m. at Temple Sinai of North Dade, 18801 NE 22 Ave, North Miami Beach, 33180. The public is invited to attend.

A dinner, the cost of which is $18 for partners and $25 for non-partners, will follow the service. For reservations to the dinner, please RSVP to Temple Sinai no later than Wed Nov 7 using the following link https://www.tsnd.org/event/Kristallnacht
