"When Should We Remember the Holocaust" with Professor Oren Stier & Music from the Amernet String Quartet will take place at the Jewish Museum of Florida on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.
FIU Director of Jewish Studies and Associate Professor of Religious Studies Oren Stier will present this annual Holocaust Studies lecture, followed by a performance of music from the Jewish diaspora in its many forms by the Amernet String Quartet, artists in residence in FIU's School of Music. The New York Times called the Quartet’s performance “immensely satisfying” and it has received international recognition as an exceptional string quartet. Part of the FIU Jewish Studies Program Spring Lecture Series, “Material and Visual Culture of the Holocaust,” supported in part by Targum Shlishi, A Raquel and Aryeh Rubin Foundation.
Cost: Museum Members & FIU Faculty/Students free; Non-Members $6.
