Jewish Women's Theater "It Takes A Woman"

Jewish Women's Theater of South Florida is thrilled to announce our second year with an original production of "It Takes A Woman: A Salute To The Women Of Broadway" for 3 performances. Our women-only cast will perform for all-female audiences on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 7:30 PM and twice on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 1:00 PM matinee and at 7:30PM in the evening, at the new, state-of-the-art Alan and Diane Lieberman Theater at the Michael Ann Russell Jewish Community Center (MARJCC) at 18900 NE 25 Avenue, North Miami Beach, FL 33180. SCHECK HILLEL STARS AT NATIONAL EDTECH CONFERENCE

Scheck Hillel @ FETC North Miami Beach, Florida – Scheck Hillel Community School faculty and staff presented at the prestigious Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC), held in Miami this year. Showcasing school expertise in Design/STEM, Nancy Penchev (I Lab Instructor/Lower School Technology Coordinator) and Lower School teacher Kara Kersting led a workshop about robots in the classroom and how to harness their power to teach across subjects. Chief Academic Officer Craig Carpentieri, Lower School Curriculum and Instruction Director Robin Rimon and Grade 6-12 Curriculum and Instruction Director Dr. Rabbi Avi Greene shared our model of personalized professional learning; Mr. Carpentieri also presented Scheck Hillel’s tiered approach to social emotional learning. Lower School teacher Jenna Kraft and Mrs. Penchev delivered a workshop about how robots can be integrated in the special education classroom. Last but not least, Scheck Hillel Creative Manager Greg Feldman '07 led a workshop for administrators about creating personalized videos for school advancement.

On the heels of Scheck Hillel's Lionpalooza STEM event on January 12, participation in FETC highlights the school's leadership in Design/STEM learning and innovation. Scheck Hillel students and faculty have also been accepted to present at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) this summer in California.
