High Holiday Welcome Program Offers Free Seats to New Year Services

The Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the Rabbinical Association of Greater Miami, together with more than 30 participating synagogues, are offering free seating to unaffiliated members of our community through the High Holiday Welcome Program.

If you have not already made plans to attend Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services, we encourage you to join a synagogue. But if you can’t do so in time for the holidays, you may attend services at one of the synagogues where we have arranged for a limited number of individual seats at no charge.

The program is made possible by donations to the Annual Greater Miami Jewish Federation/UJA Campaign. Online registrations may be made at jewishmiami.org from Monday, August 28, through Sunday, September 10.

Presented by Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS) and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, JCS Milk & Honey brings volunteers together to prepare and deliver Rosh Hashanah food and personal hygiene baskets to homebound seniors and Holocaust Survivors. Baskets will be assembled at two locations – Scheck Hillel Community School in North Miami Beach or Temple Beth Am in Pinecrest – and then delivered, bringing sustenance and joy to hundreds of appreciative seniors throughout Miami-Dade County.

Be part of the Jewish Community’s response to the help victims of the devastating wildfires in Maui

Maui fires

Greater Miami Jewish Federation is collecting emergency funds to provide immediate support and relief to fire victims and their families in the Jewish and general communities on the Hawaiian island of Maui where wildfires have killed hundreds of people, destroyed homes, wiped out the historic city of Lahaina and caused many to flee to safety.

As always, Federation will absorb all administrative costs so that 100 percent of funds collected will go directly to those impacted by the devastation.
