Sixth Annual Jewish Community Volunteer Day

Join the Jewish Volunteer Center and give the gift of meaning this holiday season. The sixth annual Jewish Community Volunteer Day will take place all over Miami-Dade County with many family-friendly projects. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

December 15
Knitting for the Babies
Join us in the Zelcer Boardroom of the Lipton Building at the Michael-Ann Russell JCC as we knit hats for babies in the NICU of Miami Children’s Hospital. Volunteers need to bring their own supplies.
Knitting program: December 15 from 12-3 pm
Knitted items will be delivered on December 24 and 25

Gift of Heart
Volunteers are needed to help wrap presents at Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation. Volunteers should bring their own wrapping paper, tape and scissors.  All volunteers must be at least 13 years old. MCH cannot accommodate children younger than 13.

Gifts and Games Galore
Join us at Ronald McDonald House and help bring cheer to a child on this day. Volunteers are asked to bring gifts for children ages 1-12 years old. Volunteers will also play games and participate in a holiday craft. Those who play a musical instrument are encouraged to sign up and provide entertainment.

Kitchen Time
Volunteers are needed to help the Miami Rescue Mission at their annual holiday party.  JVC volunteers will have the entire kitchen and dining area. Children MUST be 16 to participate and will need to be supervised by an adult over the age of 18.

Help pamper the mothers at Chapman Partnership with a basic manicure. Polish nails and get creative with nail art. Volunteers will help these moms feel extra special on this day! Volunteers are also encouraged to bring a special gift for the moms.

Holiday Celebration
Help create a special celebration for the children at Chapman Partnership. We will have five stations of games and crafts. Volunteers will assist the children in bracelet making, holiday craft, create a cookie and games. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a gift for children of all ages, for the gift give-a-way.
