Honor the Memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with
“A Day On, Not a Day Off”

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr

Join volunteers from around Miami on Monday, January 21, to honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with “A Day On, Not a Day Off,” a day of service that will transform Madison Middle School with the Jewish Volunteer Center (JVC) of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.

The JVC and other community members are partnering with City Year Miami for this day of service to help beautify the school in Miami’s West Little River community. Projects include painting educational murals, landscaping and building benches for an outdoor classroom. This project follows the launch of City Year Miami’s 5th year of the Young Heroes Program which engages middle school and high school students in community service and leadership development.

Madison Middle School is located at 3400 Northwest 87th Street, Miami. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. and the service project ends at 2:30 p.m. Community service hours are available. You must RSVP in order to participate. Click here to RSVP or call the JVC at 786.866.8680, or email [email protected].
