Description
The webinar will include a discussion of the history surrounding the criminal justice system in Florida and perspectives on the factors race has played in its development, dating back to the abolishment of slavery and through Reconstruction, the Jim Crow era, and beyond the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. In the midst of today’s urgent demands for racial equality and criminal justice reform, this webinar will explore current issues in South Florida’s criminal justice system, while identifying potential strategies for inspiring and effecting change.
