Description
Take a virtual walk down Washington Avenue's cultural corridor! In the kickoff of this informative series hosted by Florida International University's three #SoBe arts outposts, we're focusing on #architecture to open your eyes to the many exciting and unexpected ways to talk about buildings, structure, and form.
The 20-minute experiences will include: a virtual tour of Miami Beach Urban Studios' exhibition FEEDback, featuring work from notable architects, designers, and musicians (speaker: professor and FEEDback curator Eric Goldemberg); a viewing of Liony Garcia's #ArtDeco architecture-inspired dance piece, Corporeal Decorum, filmed at The Wolfsonian; and an exploration of narratives embedded in the walls of Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU, a former synagogue (speakers: JMOF museum manager Nancy Cohen and education manager Luna Goldberg).
Presented in partnership with the Washington Avenue Business Improvement District. Program registrants will enjoy a special offer courtesy of The Betsy Hotel.
