Be part of the Jewish community’s response to help victims of the flooding in South Louisiana. Following severe storms, rising waters have killed more than 10 people, destroyed countless homes and forced tens of thousands to flee for their lives. The Greater Miami Jewish Federation is joining with Jewish Federations across the continent to raise funds to support the Jewish Federation of Greater Baton Rouge as they meet urgent needs both in the Jewish and general communities. One hundred percent of all contributions to this fund will be directed through The Jewish Federations of North America to support Baton Rouge Flood Relief. Click here to donate now.

Leonardo Bentata celebrated his Bar Mitzvah in Israel with an act of loving kindness that will have a positive impact on the lives of residents of Yerucham, Miami’s partnership city in the Negev. On July 11, the family visited Yerucham to see the impact of their donation of Gymboree equipment for the city’s newly renovated Community Store. The shopping cooperative offers better prices on food and household goods for residents, lowering the cost of living. The Gymboree equipment provides children with safe play activities while parents learn how to spend wisely and become educated consumers. Read more.
