Be a Part of the Florida Jewish COVID-19 Plasma Initiative

As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise throughout Florida, doctors are hoping the convalescent blood plasma of recovered patients can help fight the virus. If you are a COVID-19 survivor, you can join this effort by participating in the Florida Jewish COVID-19 Plasma Initiative to ensure the state has enough plasma on hand to treat those who may need it. The initiative follows the success of a similar program in New York, where thousands of Jews who recovered from the disease performed the mitzvah of donating their blood plasma. If you have not tested positive for COVID-19, you can donate blood to replenish the nation’s supply and be accurately tested for the COVID-19 antibody. For more information, click here.
