Giving Thanks to YOU, Our Foundation Donors
The year 2020 has been far from typical. We just finished celebrating Thanksgiving, a time when we would normally get together with family and friends and give thanks for all that is good in our lives. For some of us, this holiday was a difficult reminder of how much we miss seeing those whom we most care about in person.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused us to focus on what really matters and has given us a renewed sense of gratitude for those things that can’t be measured like health, family and relationships.
As treasured Foundation donors, we are grateful to you for making the Greater Miami Jewish Federation one of your charitable priorities and can provide you with resources to engage you and those whom you care about in values-focused conversations.
As a token of our gratitude, we offer:
Facilitated Family Conversations Around Your Jewish Values (for fund holders and legacy donors)
The Foundation is pleased to provide you with some complimentary tools developed by 21/64 to engage you and your family in conversations around your values and giving. Originally created by Andrea and Charles Bronfman, 21/64 is a nonprofit organization that specializes in next generation and multigenerational philanthropy.
- How does your giving reflect the legacy you wish to create?
- What are the values that inform your giving?
- What issues are you passionate about?
- What are the values you wish to pass along to your family, your friends, your community?
If you are interested in learning more and would like to receive your complimentary Motivational Values Cards or Exploring Giving Cards, please contact Scott Kaplan at [email protected] or Jill Hagler at [email protected]. We’re happy to work with you and your family to help facilitate these important conversations whether it’s virtually or in person.
Capturing Your Jewish Story (for legacy donors)
Many donors have shared that one of the motivating factors to making a legacy commitment is to be a role model to their family and/or community. The Foundation can help you accomplish this by capturing your Jewish story — why and how you got involved in the Jewish community and what motivated you to make this generous and enduring gift to the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. In addition to sharing your story with your family, you also have the opportunity to include your story in the Federation’s soon-to-be-launched Book of Life, a virtual album of stories and photos of those donors who have generously included the Jewish community in their estate plan. For more information, please contact Jill Hagler at [email protected].
