The Greater Miami Jewish Federation approved a $1.1 million cash ADVANCE to Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS), our primary human service agency, to ensure it is able to meet the increased needs and requests from new clients as a result of the crisis. JCS is on the front line, providing home care to more than 600 Holocaust Survivors, weekly home-delivered meals to more than 800 older adults and food to MORE THAN 500 families through the Kosher Food Bank. Federation has committed to funding any financial shortfall the agency experiences as a result of providing these increased services.
