Important Issues

Grounded in the Jewish traditions of tikkun olam (repairing the world) and caring for those in need, the JCRC’s advocacy efforts build a more just society. JCRC partners with other ethnic, religious, governmental and civic groups to promote discussion, mobilize for change and provide innovative approaches to a number of important issues.

What Do You Care About?

Campaign to delegitimize Israel, including Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement

Our programs educate the community about how to combat the BDS movement.

United States-Israel relations

JCRC is the pro-Israel voice in the community and advocates for legislation that supports Israel at the local, state and federal levels.

Global antisemitism

JCRC brings all Miamians together with workshops and educational events that focus on the rising tide of antisemitism.

Interfaith and intergroup affairs

Working with community and faith-based organizations, JCRC develops programs and policies around issues of shared concern, including voter education/registration, gun violence, anti-hate initiatives and more.

Human trafficking

Through programs such as our Interfaith Freedom Seder, JCRC educates the community about the prevalence of human trafficking.

Government funding

We serve as a resource for local agencies seeking federal security grants and work toward increasing public funding for a variety of important issues.

We would like to share statements released by the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), AJC and AIPAC regarding the decision of the Israeli government to not allow certain members of Congress to travel to Israel:
