Programs and Events

Interested in helping others? Traveling? Socializing? Fundraising? All of the above? Women’s Philanthropy offers a full calendar of opportunities throughout the year, providing you with many ways to get involved in your Jewish community.

Here’s just a sample of what you can do:

  • Outreach and Social Activities
Two of Women’s Philanthropy’s premier events are our Lion of Judah Luncheon and Women’s Day/Women’s Night Out. Taking place annually, each welcomes hundreds of women from across our community to hear outstanding speakers, including best-selling authors, renowned journalists and respected public speakers. In addition, Women’s Philanthropy hosts intimate gatherings at local homes and public venues, enabling you to meet and socialize with women just like you.
  • Education and Leadership Development
Where can you explore Jewish traditions while learning about issues affecting Jewish people in our world today? Where can you meet inspiring leaders while also building your own skills? Women’s Philanthropy has it all!
  • Missions
Whether it’s a tour of Federation-funded social-service agencies in Miami or an unforgettable experience in Israel, you can travel with us near and far to see where your dollars go and how you make a difference.
  • Fundraising
The women in our community are dedicated to helping Jewish people in need in Miami, in Israel and in more than 70 other countries around the world. Women’s Philanthropy provides many ways for you to support the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign, both through your own gift and by inspiring others. And approximately one-third of the Annual Campaign is raised by women in Miami!
  • Mitzvah Projects and Volunteer Opportunities
We are always involved in interesting hands-on projects, such as collecting supplies for the JCS Kosher Food Bank… gathering Purim costumes to send to needy Jewish children, visiting the elderly, and painting a mural in a community center in Israel. It's up to your imagination! Working with the Jewish Volunteer Center of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and other organizations, Women’s Philanthropy is lending a hand wherever it is needed.
  • Impact Issues
There are many matters of concern to our community, and Miami’s Jewish women are dedicated to actively learning about these issues and finding ways to enact change. There’s no better way to join with women who support causes you care about, find volunteer opportunities and fundraise than through Women’s Philanthropy of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.
