With great pride, Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center, announces the election of Rose Rubin as the new President as of July 1, 2018.
Rose Rubin has been a Vice President of the Executive Board for over 10 years. She and her late husband, Richard, have been major benefactors of the ATJC synagogue since they joined in 1999.
Rose is the daughter of Holocaust survivors and has been involved in many Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center Holocaust memorial events. She co-chairs and conducts the annual Yom Hashoah service at ATJC. Her children, Jason and Lindsey also participate in the service. Her son, Jason, is an attorney and President of the family's precious metals refining business, which Richard started in 1980. Lindsey is the director of stone removal and diamond acquisitions for the company.
The Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center is located in the heart of Aventura, a city recognized as one of the “Top Ten Jewish Neighborhoods” in the United States. Originally founded in 1976 as a small storefront ATJC has proven to be a driving force in addressing the needs of this dynamic growing community.
