We are honored to have Gilad Kariv, a Reform Rabbi and attorney in Israel, who serves as the Executive Director of the Israel Movement for Reform and Progressive Judaism (IMPJ) visit Temple Beth Sholom in Miami Beach for the weekend of October 19-20. On Friday October 19th at 6:00 p.m. Rabbi Kariv will speak on “Religion and State in Israel- Nurturing Israel as a Democratic and Jewish Nation-Reform Judaism as part of the Solution”. He will then have a private Shabbat dinner with our Braman Fellows Cohort. The next day, Rabbi Kariv will teach at Torah Study at 9:30 and afterwards, give a D’var Torah at the Shabbat Minyan. He will then meet for lunch with our Israel Committee and talk about: “Doubling our Movement in a Decade- the Israel Reform Movement’s Success and Ongoing Challenges” The Israel Movement for Reform & Progressive Judaism (IMPJ) is the umbrella organization of all the Reform communities and institutions in Israel.
