How to craft an impactful elevator pitch Networking tips to expand your circle Hidden job market Informational interview The idea is to develop a network of friendly people who share information to help each other. It is best known as a strategy for opening the hidden job market, for getting a good job. Because many jobs (some would say most) are not advertised, it is essential that you develop friendly relationships with people who can tip you off to job openings -- perhaps even introduce you to the person who is doing the hiring. There is some truth in, "It's not what you know, but who you know."

Eshel Has Launched Its First-Ever Grandparents Group!

Grandparents with LGBTQ+ grandchildren from traditional communities gather and learn how to understand and support an LGBTQ+ grandchild and their family. The purpose of this group is to meet and socialize with other grandparents, to gain support from one another, and to share experiences.

This talk presented by Dr. Tal Dekel, will offer a discussion about contemporary art in Israel with the focus on women immigrants. Discussing artists' works who immigrated to the country from the Former Soviet Union beginning in the 1990s, this lecture will elaborate on their international identities and overlapping oppressions within the Israeli context.

Tal Dekel is head of Visual Literacy Studies Program at Kibbutzim College, Tel Aviv. She also teaches in the Art History Department at Tel Aviv University. She served as Chair of the "Association of Women's Art and Gender Research in Israel," and Chair of the Gender Studies Forum at Tel Aviv University. Dekel specializes in feminism and art in Israel, focusing on gender, migration and transnationalism as well as on women and old age in the Israeli context. She has published papers in academic journals and has written three books: Gendered Art and Feminist Theory (2013), Transnational Identities: Women, Art and Migration in Israel (2016), Women and Ageism: Gender Aspects in Israeli Art (2020). Dekel lives and works in Israel.

Join us for a conversation with Valley of Tears' Director, Yaron Zilberman, Actor Lee Biran, actress Joy Rieger, moderated by Israel Intelligence expert, Col (Ret.) Miri Eisin

On April 12 at 8PM EDT, Israel Bonds and American Friends of Natal will host an intimate conversation with the cast and director of the acclaimed Israeli series ‘Valley of Tears' – a fact-based dramatization of the harrowing early days of the Yom Kippur War - in honor of Yom Hazikaron. An insightful discussion will be moderated by intelligence, security and geopolitical expert Col. (Ret.) Miri Eisin. The event will also feature Shir Peled, the IDF’s first female undercover combat soldier, and inspiration for a major character on ‘Fauda.’ Members of Natal's clinical team will be on the program as well. Natal is an organization supporting Israeli war and terror-related trauma victims. They have helped over 100,000 victims to date.
