Beyond the Jewish World

In times of crises, the Jewish community comes together as one to offer humanitarian aide for anyone in need — Jews and non-Jews alike. The Greater Miami Jewish Federation, working with the Jewish Federations of North America, the American Joint Distribution Committee, The Jewish Agency for Israel, World ORT and other organizations on the ground, responds quickly and effectively to the ravages of hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, fires and other disasters. Honoring the Jewish value of tikkun olam (repairing the world), Federation funds urgently needed humanitarian aid and supports programs that work in the hardest-hit areas on a long-term basis — counseling victims and helping rebuild homes and businesses.
