Greater Miami Jewish Federation Missions to Israel in the Aftermath of October 7, 2023

When our community learned of Hamas’ horrific terrorist attacks in Israel on October 7, people across Miami immediately expressed the desire to travel to Israel to show support for those impacted and those working to provide vital assistance for them. In response, the Greater Miami Jewish Federation began organizing and leading a series of Israel Solidarity Missions, bringing groups of different ages and backgrounds to see firsthand the devastation perpetrated by Hamas, to meet one-on-one with survivors and their families and to hear how our community dollars are helping Israelis in the aftermath of October 7. The following stories, written immediately after each Solidarity Mission, provide accounts of each trip in the order in which they took place.
