About the Task Force to Combat Human Trafficking
The Task Force to Combat Human Trafficking, a joint effort of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s Jewish Community Relations Council and Women’s Philanthropy, was created in response to a need unveiled during an April 2013 meeting. The purpose of the Task Force is to raise public awareness of the prevalence and dangers of human trafficking in Miami-Dade County and Florida and to advocate to strengthen state statutes regarding domestic minor sex trafficking through collaborative efforts across nonprofit, private and government sectors.
