Job Loss Creates Tuition Fears
“SHAINA” IS A MOTHER OF FOUR and has worked as a hostess at a kosher restaurant in Surfside to supplement her husband’s meager income.
Her part-time earnings have helped her family send the children to yeshiva day schools for their education. When the restaurant that employed Shaina closed due to the coronavirus crisis, she lost her job and her tuition nest egg.
Now she fears that her children will be cut off from the type of Jewish education that she so desperately wants for her family.
