Raul Martinez, Jr.
Raul Martinez, Jr. has worked with Congressman Jose Garcia since he took office in January 2013. During this time, Mr. Martinez has served as District Director, Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief of Staff.
As Chief of Staff, Mr. Martinez, was Garcia's chief policy advisor. He was responsible for developing and implementing position strategies and operating plans for the congressman's offices and managing and directing all activities and staff of his Washington D.C. and district offices including overseeing the office budget. Mr. Martinez acted as Garcia's principal liaison and responded to office visits and telephone inquiries from constituents and various interest groups.
As the Deputy Chief of Staff and District Director, Mr. Martinez oversees all district offices operations and work flow. He is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and managing district staff; he also represents Congressman Garcia at events; monitors district, national and international issues and politics, while conducting staff outreach. Mr. Martinez also develops and implements policy objectives, strategies and operating plans for the Congressman's offices and directs all activities and staff in the district.
Prior to joining Congressman Garcia, Mr. Martinez served as the Florida Hispanic Vote Director for Organizing for America Florida during the 2012 Presidential campaign.
