Wide Range of Mental Health Resources Available

The holiday season can be difficult for many people, but Federation offers a variety of resources to help you and your loved ones cope. Being away from friends and family, dealing with complicated relationships, financial difficulties and other challenges can weigh on one’s mind, particularly at a time of year when everyone is feeling pressured to have fun. If you are feeling overwhelmed, sad or just need someone to talk to, our Jewish community is here to assist you. Jewish Community Services of South Florida’s 24-hour Access Line, 305.576.6550, offers mental health support and other professionals who can help you now and year-round. In addition, BeWell Miami, a Federation program, has a number of outstanding mental health resources — online, through text and by phone — for teens and young adults, ages 12-26, who are struggling; call 1.833.90BWELL (833.902.9355), text BEWELL to 898211 or click here for an extensive list for your child or grandchild.
