Engaging Young People Through Jewish Summer Camp Scholarships

Recognizing the importance of engaging young people in Jewish life during their formative years, Federation scholarships made it easier for 323 Miami-area youth to participate this summer in Jewish overnight camps. Immersive Jewish experiences are vital for Jewish children and teens, enabling them to better understand Jewish values, build a stronger sense of self and connect with the people of Israel and Jews worldwide. The 2026 Ella Riley Adler Jewish Overnight Camp Scholarship Program awarded more than $236,000 to campers ages 8-17, offsetting their tuition costs at Jewish camps across the country. Partnering with One Happy Camper, Federation also provided more than $66,000 in grants to first-time campers who attend public school or non-Jewish private school.
