Helping Northern Israeli Tourism Businesses Recover
Federation is lending a hand to the hundreds of small business owners struggling to make ends meet as Israel's tourism industry recovers nearly three years after the October 7 attack. Especially along the northern border, many of Israel’s guest cabins remain empty. Many bed-and-breakfast owners were displaced from their homes for extended periods of time, while their properties and furnishings deteriorated and infrastructure suffered from prolonged neglect. Working with regional councils, the local community center and residents familiar with the area, Federation and our partners are renovating and upgrading nearly 100 independently owned B&Bs so they are ready to welcome guests again as tourism gradually returns to the North.
