Federation Staff Members Share Life-Changing Israel Trip

A diverse group of Greater Miami Jewish Federation staff members recently shared a life-changing journey through Israel, volunteering side by side and seeing our work up close. Coordinated through Birthright Israel, JFNA and Federation’s Israel & Overseas Department, the trip brought many of the participants to the Holy Land for the very first time. Ranging from administrative and facilities management staff to accounting, planning and fundraising professionals, the group traveled across Israel to visit communities and organizations that benefit from annual Federation support. They volunteered in gardens, painted a mural, paid respect at the Nova Festival site and heard testimony from a survivor and saw the impact of Miami’s partnership with Yerucham. They also had the opportunity to tour meaningful religious sites and hear compelling stories of extraordinary resilience. In a little over a week, colleagues became forever connected to Israel — and each other.
