Supporting Resilience for Returning Reservists on Israeli Campuses
As IDF reservists return from military duty and resume their academic studies, Federation is promoting well-being and a sense of stability and security among Israeli students and faculty members alike. Extensive reserve duty has resulted in significant emotional strain, academic gaps and ongoing post-emergency symptoms, creating a need for a tailored and comprehensive program for support and recovery. At 22 active resilience centers across Israel, thousands of trained college faculty members are providing individualized support for tens of thousands of students, while also building infrastructure that enables everyone to better focus on academic work and success on the road ahead. Through the Annual Federation Campaign, these academic resilience centers will become a permanent addition to Israel’s colleges and universities.
