Three Years Later: Jewish Miami Marks Anniversary of October 7 Terrorist Attacks
More than a dozen local commemorations were organized to mark the third anniversary of the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel, including one at the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach. With survivors of the Nova Music Festival and the Holocaust sharing their inspirational stories of courage and resilience, as well as the Memorial’s state-of-the-art interactive technology and poignant film presentations, participants were able to bear witness to these horrific tragedies in Jewish history. In addition to its recently opened Education Center, the Memorial is the first in the world to engrave the names (in both English and Hebrew) of those who were murdered on October 7. The commemorative event also included the reading of victims’ names, candle-lighting, the painting of remembrance stones and the sharing of personal reflections.
