BeWell Together: A Youth Mental Health Summit

The mental health and wellbeing of our nation’s youth is at a critical point, with increasing reports of online bullying, suicidal ideation, depression and anxiety. Recognizing the urgent need to elevate and empower Miami’s young adults and champion their mental wellness, Federation’s BeWell Miami and the Wellness Institute are bringing our community together for a Youth Mental Health Summit on Sunday, March 3 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Jewish Leadership Academy. Led by experts in the field, including Dr. Andrew Shatte, Dr. Adam Perlman and Sophie Riegel, tracks for parents, educators, clinicians and young adults will delve into cutting-edge research on spirituality, and mental health, resilience, healthy attachments and communication, among other topics. Registration, which includes lunch and all sessions, is $18 for teens/students and $36 for adults. Click here for more information and to register. Don’t miss your last chance to participate in the Miami Jewish Community Study! The Miami-Dade Jewish Community Study is a once-a-decade study sponsored by the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and conducted by the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies at Brandeis University in partnership with NORC at the University of Chicago. The study will provide vital information on the number and makeup of Jewish households in Miami-Dade County, as well as their attitudes and needs.
