Miami Birthright Cohort Visits Federation Partners in Israel

“I’ve loved every moment so far,” said Birthright Israel participant Dani Waijman, who arrived on Monday with a Miami cohort for 10 adventure-packed days in Israel. Birthright Israel, a partner of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, pairs diverse members of Jewish communities with their Israeli peers for a truly immersive experience. The group’s robust itinerary includes visits to Yerucham for an introduction to the Miami-Yerucham Partnership and a class in making Moroccan art, as well to Pardes Chana to meet local members of the Ethiopian-Israeli community. Other highlights for the 28 travelers have been day trips in the Galilee, Masada and the Dead Sea, Yad Vashem and Shabbat in Jerusalem. “It’s an experience unlike any other,” noted Miamian Ashley Collins, “to get closer to my peers, my land and my God.”
