Former Israeli Ambassador to Headline Pacesetter Event Thursday, December 11

The Pacesetter Event is one of the most important annual events for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation/UJA Campaign raising millions of dollars to support vital social services in Miami, in Israel and around the world.

On Thursday, December 11, hundreds of Miami’s most committed philanthropists will gather at the Hilton Miami Downtown to celebrate Jewish community and pledge their support for the most vulnerable.

Headlining the Pacesetter Event will be keynote speaker, The Honorable Michael Oren, former Israeli Ambassador to the United States, serving from 2009 to 2013. He currently holds the Abba Eban Chair in International Diplomacy at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, and is Ambassador-in-Residence at the Atlantic Council.

The Pacesetter Event is being co-chaired by Sara and David Bejar and Jill and Robert Hertzberg. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by the dinner and program.

Couvert for The Pacesetter Event is $155 per person (not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution), and includes valet or self-parking.

A $10,000 suggested minimum gift per invited couple to the 2015 Greater Miami Jewish Federation/UJA Campaign or membership in the Greater Miami Jewish Federation Star of David or Heritage Societies is requested.

The Star of David Society is a national honor society established by The Jewish Federations of North America to recognize those who create Permanent Annual Campaign Endowments of $200,000 or more, or any permanent endowment of $500,000 or more. The Heritage Society recognizes those members of Miami’s Jewish community who have created a permanent endowment of $100,000 or more through The Foundation, including members of the Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE) Society. Star of David Society members are also members of the Heritage Society.
