Donor-Advised Funds Provide Charitable Flexibility

Looking for an easy, flexible and tax-smart way to support our Jewish community and your favorite charities? Consider opening a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) through The Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. DAFs are the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicle in the United States and they are both easy to set up and provide great tax advantages. DAFs are like “charitable bank accounts,” allowing donors and families to give by creating a fund with gifts of cash, stock or other types of appreciated assets; invest your donation for tax-free growth; and make grants over time from the fund to support the charities and causes you care about. DAFs provide the utmost flexibility for those wishing to make an impact today and ensure a strong Jewish future. Sidney Pertnoy, Chair of The Foundation and long-time fund holder, shared, “Our family has proudly supported Federation, Israel and other Jewish causes through this easy-to-use giving vehicle, allowing us to teach philanthropy to our children and grandchildren.” Click here to learn more about creating a DAF or contact Scott Kaplan, Director of The Foundation, at [email protected] or 786.866.8623.
