Hurricane Dorian Update: Federation Is Making a Difference

Following the devastating effects of Hurricane Dorian for residents of the Bahamas, Federation is making a difference for those in need. Thanks to generous donations of more than $220,000 from nearly 1,000 members of our community, Federation is partnering with IsraAID, Cadena, Chabad of Bahamas and the Afya Foundation to provide immediate, on-the-ground assistance to the most vulnerable areas. Federation’s support is helping to establish six child-friendly spaces to care for 10,000 children without guardians who have been evacuated to Nassau. The funds have also helped provide 31,000 ready-to-eat meals for the hungry, more than 30 pallets of water, 250 medical supply kits for people with diabetes. Search-and-rescue teams were also deployed to comb the area for survivors and help locate those who are missing. To make a secure donation now to the Hurricane Dorian Relief Fund, please click here.
