Federation Supports Innovative Israeli Entrepreneurs

Your donations to Federation’s Annual Campaign are helping encourage the next generation of Israeli entrepreneurs in a variety of meaningful ways. Federation’s overseas partner, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, oversees Hakaveret, or The Hive. This Social Innovation Accelerator recently held a two-day competition in creativity for promising and innovative ideas. The original 40 candidates were whittled down to 17, who will now continue to develop their ideas during a four-month acceleration process.

Chosen to continue was Jasmine, a non-governmental organization that promotes women-owned businesses and encourages women’s participation in the Israeli economy. Jasmine is also a beneficiary of the Women Amutot Initiative, which allocates funds from Federation’s Annual Campaign to organizations in Israel that empower women to improve Israeli society through social, economic, religious and political equality, which is supported by Federation’s Annual Campaign.

Your donation to the Annual Campaign supports not only the Women’s Amutot Initiative, but also the JDC and its efforts around the world. To make a donation now, click here.
