Federation Grants Help Miami-Dade Campers Connect With Their Jewish Heritage

This summer, Federation camp subsidies enabled almost 350 Miami-Dade children and teens to deepen their connection to their Jewish heritage and connect with their Jewish community. Our Jewish Overnight Summer Camp Scholarships awarded nearly $200,000 to campers ages 8-17, offsetting their tuition costs at Jewish camps across the country. Partnering with One Happy Camper, a Foundation for Jewish Camps program, Federation also provided almost $90,000 in need-blind grants to first-time campers who attend public school or non-Jewish private school. Recognizing the importance of engaging young people in Jewish life during their formative years, Federation makes these financial aid options available to provide Jewish summer camp experiences that are meaningful, memorable and affordable.
