Federation Grants for Psychoeducational Evaluations of Students With Developmental Disabilities

Is the cost of a psychoeducational evaluation for your child preventing you from accessing the services they need to succeed in the classroom? A grant from Federation’s Miami Jewish Abilities Alliance (MJAA) can help! Jewish residents of Miami-Dade County who demonstrate financial need can apply for an MJAA grant to defray the high cost of these assessments. While costly, they are critical in guiding students with developmental disabilities on an effective and specialized educational path. To date, MJAA has assisted individuals from ages four to 27. Applicants are encouraged to review the Evaluations 101 webpage with information on what to expect and key questions to ask to successfully manage their own plan of care. The mother of one grant recipient thanked Federation, noting, “Finally after eight years and countless professionals, we have some answers. This wouldn’t have been possible without your help.” Click here to learn more about MJAA.
