Federation Leaders Join National Campaign Mission to Paris

Last week, leaders from the Greater Miami Jewish Federation joined other senior volunteers and professionals for the annual Jewish Federations of North America campaign mission, this time in Paris, France. While antisemitism throughout the country is sky-high, forcing the group to travel with a heavy security escort at all times, so, too, is hope for the future. Federation General Campaign Chair Moj Khaghan Danial and Women’s Philanthropy Campaign Chair Leslie Benitah noted that Jewish life in Paris has become even more vibrant since October 7. Accompanied by Federation Executive Vice President Jeff Levin and Women’s Philanthropy Director Ofi Osin-Cohen, the group spent time with children at a day camp staffed by our longtime partner The Jewish Agency for Israel and had the honor of presenting several olim with their official aliyah documents in advance of their flight to Israel. They also met with young leaders who encouraged the North American Jewish leaders to do more in the fight against antisemitism and to remain strong and supportive of fellow Jews. After all, as one of them reminded the group, “Antisemitism is not my religion. Judaism is.”
