Feldman Family Foundation: Making a Difference for Jewish Children With Disabilities
As it sunsets this year, the Feldman Family Foundation demonstrates how you can impact others’ lives when you create a Jewish legacy through The Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Created in 1994 in memory of Sylvia and Sidney Feldman, the Feldman Family Foundation has allocated more than $4 million to crucial programs for children and young adults with special needs across Jewish Miami and other communities. Thousands have benefited from initiatives at all three Federation-supported Miami JCCs, Jewish Community Services of South Florida, the Friendship Circle and more. “While many foundations are created to continue their philanthropic work in perpetuity, others — like the Feldman Family Foundation — are set up with a plan for spending down its funds over time,” said Federation President & CEO Emeritus Jacob Solomon, who has served as trustee along with former Foundation Chairs Mike Segal and Nancy Lipoff.
