Fund for Victims of Terror Brings Respite to War-Weary Israelis

This summer, your Federation donation is bringing respite and joy to war-weary Israelis through the Fund for Victims of Terror (FVOT). In June, FVOT held a retreat for 40 women whose spouses were severely wounded in combat. A collaboration with Or HaShachar Ha’Oleh, which promotes resilience through the sea and surfing, the women participated in art workshops and group healing sessions. In July, the FVOT biannual amusement park outing was attended by 2,500 children, teens and parents, almost half of whom live under constant threats in Israel’s northern frontline communities. For all, it was an opportunity to relax, have fun and feel they are not alone. FVOT provides rapid financial aid and long-term rehabilitation support to Israelis impacted by acts of terror and violence.
