M.Y. Experience Offers Unique Gap Year

Gap Year

Jewish high school graduates looking for a unique, valuable gap year program for 2021-2022 can find it with a new initiative called M.Y. (Miami-Yerucham) Experience. Participants will spend time in Tel Aviv immersed in Israeli life and travel to Yerucham, Federation’s partner city, to volunteer, work with youth leadership groups, share Shabbat meals with a host family, learn Hebrew and more. Other highlights include monthly trips throughout Israel and special training courses with Magen David Adom, Israel's national EMS organization, and the Gadna military program that prepares Israeli youth for service in the Israel Defense Force. Participants receive a monthly stipend to help with daily expenses. The program is generously subsidized by Federation, the Miami-Yerucham Partnership and Masa Israel Journey.
