Grocery Gift Cards: A Meaningful Mitzvah During Chanukah

Ahead of Chanukah, clients of Jewish Community Services (JCS) Kosher Food Bank are receiving grocery gift cards along with their regular food packages, thanks to the generosity of Federation donors. This meaningful mitzvah allows each person to shop with dignity for something personal for their table — whether that's ingredients for a traditional family dish, a bouquet of flowers or tasty gelt and other prizes for a competitive game of spin the dreidel. The gift cards are also distributed in advance of Passover, July 4th and Rosh Hashanah. JCS is a proud partner of Federation.
