Be a Part of the Jewish Community Response’s to the Earthquake in Haiti

As the people of Haiti confront devastating loss and anguish in the wake of the earthquake that occurred on Saturday, August 14, the Greater Miami Jewish Federation is helping those affected by the disaster. The 7.2 magnitude tremor has left nearly 2,000 dead and thousands more homeless in a nation already grappling with COVID-19, widespread poverty, crumbling infrastructure, natural disasters and political unrest. Federation’s Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund is supporting critical relief efforts by organizations IsraAID, CADENA and Federation overseas partner the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC). The on-the-ground help includes delivering medical supplies, surgical instruments, gloves, masks, face shields and clean linens; providing blankets, diapers and feminine hygiene products; offering medical services, child-friendly spaces for emotional comfort and more.
