Indigent Burial Program Offers Help in a Time of Need

When someone passes away and loved ones lack the means to provide a proper Jewish burial, Federation can help. Through the Indigent Burial Program, Federation partners with local cemeteries, funeral homes and monument makers to provide burial plots and Jewish interment for those unable to afford them. Each year, Federation receives dozens of requests for burials from families, cemeteries, funeral homes, police and medical facilities. If you are interested in donating a burial plot or contributing to this mitzvah through the Tzedakah Fund, contact Rabbi Frederick Klein, Federation Director of Mishkan Miami: The Jewish Connection for Spiritual Support at [email protected] or call 786.866.8621.
