Help is Available for Those Affected by the Government Shutdown

As the government shutdown enters its fifth week, Federal employees and their families are struggling. With no money coming in and no clear end date in sight, anxiety is building across our community. Hebrew Free Loan Association of South Florida, a Federation subsidiary, is offering interest-free, emergency loans of $2,500 for Jewish, unpaid Federal employees. Click here for more information. Additionally, JCS Access Services, our community’s 24/7 free and confidential helpline, is there to lend support during this time. If you or someone you know needs help, call 305.576.6550.
