Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach Commemorates Kristallnacht

The Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach has organized a commemoration of Kristallnacht — the Night of Broken Glass — on Monday, November 9 to remember and honor the victims of antisemitic pogroms that devastated Jewish communities throughout Nazi Germany on November 9-10, 1938. Jewish Miami’s community commemoration will take place in the Memorial’s new Education Center at 6:30 p.m. and will feature the testimony of a 105-year-old Holocaust survivor. Register now to reserve your spot. Prior to the commemoration, at 4:30 p.m., a special high school program will feature time with local survivors and include dinner. Seating is limited. Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach is a Committee of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.

Federation’s Israel & Overseas Committee recently approved $150,000 in new grants to six Israeli nonprofits that support inclusion and greater independence for people with disabilities in a variety of settings.
