Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach Opens New Education Center

The Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach brings Holocaust education into the 21st century with the Grand Opening of its state-of-the-art Education Center. Memorial and Education Center Founders Norman Braman, Ezra Katz, Matan Benaviv and Jessica Katz; Holocaust survivors; descendants of survivors; elected officials and other dignitaries came together for last Sunday’s ribbon-cutting, with the community touring the facility afterwards. A key feature is Dimensions in TestimonySM, developed in collaboration with the USC Shoah Foundation to enable visitors to engage in real-time, simulated conversations with Holocaust survivors. The Education Center also features powerful historic film footage, contemporary news reports on the dramatic rise in antisemitism and more. The Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach is a Committee of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. To arrange a free tour, click here.To view photos and news from the Grand Opening, click here.
