More than 850 volunteers brought Rosh Hashanah joy into the lives of Holocaust Survivors and homebound elderly last Sunday through Milk and Honey, the annual hands-on service program organized by Federation partner agency Jewish Community Services of South Florida. The volunteers gathered at Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center and Temple Judea to prepare more than 600 food baskets that included traditional holiday fare. Participants delivered the baskets, along with a bouquet of flowers, to seniors who welcomed them into their homes.
