Even though we will not be gathering together in person, The Main Event will be an evening to remember.

Federation’s fight against food insecurity in our community continues on Thursday, March 18 from 9-11 a.m. at Federation Headquarters, 4200 Biscayne Boulevard.

Thanks to your support of the Annual Campaign, Elul Beit Midrash, the first pluralistic house of learning in Israel, has adjusted to the realities of the pandemic and created new ways for Israelis from different backgrounds and communities to study Jewish texts.

Studies have shown that more than 90% of all adults have experienced trauma by the time they reach their senior years. To help Federation continue to provide a safety net of social services for the most vulnerable people in our community, a new program will focus on the unique issues faced by immigrants in Miami as they age.

While pandemic fatigue has set in after nearly a year of living with the coronavirus, the needs in our community remain as pressing as ever.

In an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19 and help senior adults, Federation’s Jewish Volunteer Center has been assisting Florida residents who are 65 and older secure vaccination appointments.

Join the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach, a Committee of Federation, for a free online showing of 18 Enduring Voices, an inspiring short film depicting artist Debra Kapnek’s journey in painting portraits of 18 Holocaust Survivors, on Tuesday, February 23 at 7 p.m.

Activism was at the forefront this week as more than 70 members of our Jewish community participated in Federation’s Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) virtual mission to Washington, D.C.
