JCRC Provides Resources for College Students on Combatting Antisemitism

Federation leadership, our Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) and our community partners are continuing to address the alarming rise in Jew hatred, particularly since 10/7. Last week, Federation joined FIU Hillel Director Jon Warech, FIU President Kenneth Jessell and other top administrators to discuss the horrific rise in antisemitism on college campuses across the country and other important issues facing Jewish students. President Jessell’s commitment to supporting Jewish students on campus was consistent and firm, sending a clear message that Jewish students are welcome and embraced at FIU. We are deeply appreciative for the University’s strong display of leadership and our longstanding relationship with seven Florida Hillels supported yearly through our Annual Campaign. Additionally, JCRC has compiled a campus resource guide to help new and returning students connect with local Jewish organizations and combat potential hatred on campus.
