Join Teens for an Epic Service Day of Play!

A volunteer on J-Serve, the National Day of Teen Service 2014

The Greater Miami Jewish Federation along with J-Serve, Jewish Volunteer Center and BBYO/Miami Region invites local teens to join their peers from all around the country for J-Serve, the National Day of Teen Service on Sunday, April 19. In Miami, you will participate in an Epic Service Day of Play, from 1 to 4 p.m. at North and South Dade locations, providing a day of respite and fun for youth, teens and young adults who are underserved or have special needs.

South Dade: Bet Breira Samu-El Or Olom, 9400 SW 87th Avenue, Miami. All volunteers should meet in the ballroom at 1 p.m.

Help create an amazing day for teens and young adults from Best Buddies®, an international volunteer organization that provides opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You and your friends will have the opportunity to be paired with a teen or young adult with special needs, and together participate in activities throughout the day. Click here to register.

In North Dade: Miami Auto Museum at the Dezer Collection, 2000 NE 146th Street, North Miami. All teens will meet in the All-Purpose Room on the 2nd floor at 12:30 p.m.

Help create an amazing day at the Dezer Collection KID ZONE for youth and teens in need here in our community. The Epic Service Day of Play will benefit the Children’s Home Society, Guitars Over Guns and The Friendship Circle. You and your friends will have the opportunity to be paired with an underserved child or teen, and together participate in activities throughout the day. Click here to register.

  • Warm Welcome and Set Up
    Volunteer to be one of our hosts and pitch in with set-up for the day. Make everyone feel welcome and help our guests who may have questions or need assistance. Click here to register.

     

  • Children at Play
    Serve as a chaperone to the younger children who attend the event. They will be able to play in the ball pit and indoor play space. Read books, lead crafts, play games and give children ages five and under a wonderful day! Click here to register.

  • Craft Time
    Volunteer to lead and assist our craft project on this day. Click here to register.

  • Food, Glorious Food:
    Volunteer to serve refreshments. Click here to register.

Special Talents
If you have a special talent, such as drawing, painting, dancing, singing, acting, playing a musical instrument, magic, photography or any other skills which you would like to contribute to the day, please email [email protected].

All students will earn 10 hours of service for participating in J-Serve. Please bring school supplies to be donated to the JCS Kosher Food Bank.
